Inspections are typically done annually or quarterly in addition to the annual service. The frequency depends on both personal preference and legal requirements. This visit would include a thorough inspection of your generators cooling system, electrical system, fuel system, starting system, lubrication system, air intake system, exhaust system, and more.

All engines must be serviced if they're expected to stay reliable year after year and your generator is no different. Our annual service includes an inspection of all systems as well as replacing the following parts and supplies:

• Oil filter
• Oil
• Fuel filter (If applicable)
• Coolant
• Battery (Every 2 years if requested)

Generators are not always run at full capacity. So to satisfy some local requirements, a commercial generator must be load banked at least once a year. The load bank is hooked up to the generator and puts out a load that allows us to monitor the efficiency of the generator as it runs at 80% load.

The typical new generator kit includes a generator and a transfer switch. We'll let you know the benefits of each brand so that you can make an educated choice for your home's backup power.

Every new home back up system will need to have an official start up to make sure that everything from the factory is set correctly. This must be done by a certified and reliable technician.
